It's been a while

I think last time I posted it might have been snowing - or at least there was snow on the ground. Interestingly enough that was just over a week ago - welcome to Wisconsin - yesterday was 77 degrees.

But I am still here, we are planning a BIG open house for high school seniors in River Falls May 9th and 10th so I've been working on the ads and materials to put that all together. We still will have ongoing specials throughout the season but this is our first big campaign to start off our first year in the new studio.

I've also been hosting two boys while their parents are away in Mexico this past week. It seems I always get boys and last night it was ME with 8 guys/boys of various ages. The nice thing is they don't get all fussy about cleaning and such. I also apparently had the flu or something like it on Sunday and yesterday was still pretty tired out by it. Goodness, I would think we should just about be done being sick . . .

We do have some exciting new things happening at the studio - a new wall and lighting system. New dressing rooms and some new bigger canvas prints as well as some awesome prints on Pearl paper that looks amazing for Senior photos. The open house promises some cool things as well: a drawing for iPods, a Senior "$$" book to save on your portraits. All in all that's my little commercial to come out and visit us. :)

Later . . .

You Make a Difference

I think it's easy to think sometimes that we aren't important because we don't hold a fancy title or position - BUT it might be good to reflect on the people that are important in your life and assess how many of them were famous or well known.

Yeah, probably not many. It is really the people around us that matter the most. So if you get thinking you don't make a difference - remember that you do - especially to the people you love and who love you.

And give thanks for those around us too - because they make a difference in our lives too:)

April Fools

No this is real.

Really. If you've ever been to Wisconsin OR Minnesota in March - you know. Yesterday 7/8's of the snow was gone - today I estimate we have somewhere in the ballpark of 6 maybe 8 inches?

This isn't the latest snowfall of significance - the first year we moved here we had a similar storm at the END of April. Yes, for all you living in the land of sunshine and rain only - this is Wisconsin in all it's glory!
