Old Fashioned Fun

We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey.
- Stephen R. Covey

Sorry, but he was so cute. We were actually doing a shoot for some birthday's coming up and at the end he wanted to get into the action. I haven't posted much because Spring is here and I am WAY busier than ever . . . such is life.

Today was one of those days when everything was really annoying;
like an order we need this week hasn't been shipped and no one at the company knows why (so I get to spend several hours and 10 phone calls to figure out what is happening), a salesman shows up at my door during lunch and can't tell me what he's selling unless he comes in (which I NEVER let a stranger in my house so note to salesmen- don't bother stopping here unless I called you), the insurance company doesn't have a record of a claim being filed but the ambulance company says they sent it in 4 weeks ago, Doug has a 2 hour commute home, my children are squirrely . . . .Ok, done venting. But seriously, now that the day is done (or almost) thank goodness for the end of the day!

Removing Wallpaper

Sometimes the steamer just doesn't do the job:).

We were steaming the last of the wallpaper (in the living room and one last bedroom - not shown). And then downstairs we decided that tearing out the wall would be a good idea so that we can add some data lines upstairs. Once we get the plaster and lathe off (hopefully no critters live in the walls - that would really freak me out) then we'll sheetrock and have new walls;).

We actually have more off now - but I was too tired to take more photos:).

Aw Come On . . . Doesn't this look like Spring?

This is our main view from our office - doesn't it look like Spring? And two weeks ago it was 80 degrees . . . Maybe if I got my ducks in a row and started some garden seeds I could at least pretend it was Spring (in the basement). This little dusting is just the beginning - from what I hear. They've lowered the amounts to 3 - 4 inches. And remember we had NO SNOW at Christmas. The poor robins and other spring birds are outside wondering what is going on:). Me too.

Antique

Playing around with making a photo with an antique twist. The photo was soft to begin with and I added some roughness:).

Seder and Easter

Last week we celebrated with friends a Seder meal to get us ready for Resurrection Sunday and as always it was a wonderful experience.

I'm going to be out and about this week so I may not be getting to my emails in a timely fashion. I have quite a bit to do for our garden work, schooling, and my local farmer project in the works as well as taking care of my little guys. So if you don't hear from me, I'm not ignoring you . . .I'm probably just outside:).Jayden liked to sample off everyone's plate.

Marcus really liked his boiled eggs.
