Happy Birthday Grandma

Yesterday we celebrated my grandma's 80th birthday! It was a cold but wonderful day for everyone! We took quite a few group photos - memories for everyone to remember the special day. Pretty amazing to see many people are connected to my grandma!

It's been a while

The boys and I went down to good hill and spent one afternoon last week sledding. We got cold but it was fun - we did stop at the Cenex to get hot cocoa before heading home;).

We had a delay getting back from San Antonio and had two cancelled flights to deal with back almost 2 weeks ago now. I am going to upload a few photos but things have been pretty crazy these past 2 weeks.
Bridal Fair season has begun and we are working on getting our portrait brochure completed for 2007. Lots to do.
While we were gone we did get a little (3 inches maybe) of snow so we are having a white winter after all. Still not enough to really go skiing. The boys have been great - we really could use an indoor basketball court though to keep them busy:). I did tell them I was going to flood an area of the yard so they could play hockey - I still have to figure out how to do that without freezing the water lines.

San Antonio

is beautiful. At least the Riverwalk and it's corresponding architecture. When we arrived the weather was a sunny 65 degrees but it has dropped dramatically to just barely over 40. Our days have been pretty busy learning - a 3 day workshop leading into the larger open conference which began today. I do have some photos of the Alamo but right at the moment I cannot find the cord to download them to the computer . . .
Once I find it, I will post a few images online.
Hi, to my little guys at home and we'll see you soon!

Training Time

I've been sitting here writing a studio policy manual (doesn't that sound like fun) and thinking about our upcoming trip to San Antonio for the Imaging USA in a few days. My little guys will be staying with Grandpa and Grandma and I know I am going to miss them terribly. They will have fun though.
And I am counting this little vacation as my 10th anniversary trip even if we are doing business training. I've never been to Texas and I hear good things about San Antonio:).
For those of you who might try to contact us - we may be checking email occasionally but we really won't be back on radar until the 17th so don't report us MIA. We have a LOT to learn and I'm excited and a little nervous. Be sure to pray for my little ones too - and that we come back safe to them.
I'm spending the early part of next week getting everything all settled for the trip. Until we meet again . . . happy trails.

On to the New Year!

Sorry, I couldn't get the photos all up on one post. This was a quick in the dark portrait that Doug took (actually a series of me making faces at him). This was the nice face of the bunch - a little motion blur - I like it - sort of surreal, artistic. Or maybe not? Well, I don't like getting photographed so this is it for the New Year. (or maybe not?:) It's time I get to bed - one of my New Year's "plans" is to get to bed before midnight; look it's only 11:56pm!

A few more holiday memories . . .

Happy New Year (and a little more Christmas!)

Doug's family visited to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve with us this past weekend. The boys got some cool gifts (by the way Aunt & Uncles - I was trying to temper their love of hockey - thanks alot:). No snow, well at least not until late on New Year's Eve so we started the new year with about an inch of snow; most of which melted during New Year's Day. We still have a little lingering. Christmas is always aflutter with gatherings and we are so blessed to have family relatively close so that we can see them several times a year at least. On to the new year with new challenges and excitement. God Bless!
