Bad Cold - Birthday!
I had all intentions of writing all about my Nebraska experience and then on Wednesday morning (last week) I woke up with a sore throat that has spiraled downward into terrible cold/cough and sinus infection. Doug spent the better part of the weekend and Monday in bed with a high fever from the same little virus and Jayden has been sick as well. Happily the Birthday Boy (Josiah) is doing fine as is Marcus so we'll pray it stays that way.
I'll upload photos of my 7 year old soon!

Personal Financial Balance Sheet
Assets:
wonderful husband
amazing active boys
great parents
incredible grandparents
loving and fun friends
supportive neighbors
new people we meet that become one of the above
Jesus Christ in my life directing my steps
Liablities
I'm human just like everyone else with similar joys and sorrows
There are lots of things in life that can go the wrong direction either by our own shortcomings or in the circumstances that surround us. But when I look around and really assess the things that matter, I am incredibly rich.
I spent 3 days at a business conference in Norfolk, Nebraska this weekend and I am continually awed by the fact that even in a world full of happenings that bode of evil, there are an abundance of people with generous and sincere hearts. It is amazing when 20 strangers meet together for a common goal, regardless of what they bring to the table, how that common bond really can bind people. And for me that reminds me of the already strong bonds I have with family and friends. I love you all - I'll be home soon!
